A plaque to honour John ‘Jack’ Foley was erected in Youghal this last week. Funded by a campaign organized by local maritime history enthusiasts Peter Landers and Kevin Melly.
John ‘Jack’ Foley was a surviving crew member of the Titanic and manned lifeboat #4 and consequently saved over 50 lives. The plaque was unveiled by the Cork County Mayor, Cllr Mary Linehan Foley on Market Square this last Saturday the 15th August 2020.
